Peeled Paper

Requirements

  • 4-5 Assorted Papers (old novels or text books, maths books, phone books etc)
  • latex Sponge
  • Distress Ink Pads
  • Stamps
  • Images
  • Embossing Powder
  • German Scrap for borders
  • Assorted words
  1. Tear your old papers into strips of various shapes and lengths keeping the different pages separate.  You should have one separate pile for each page
  2. Glue them to the ATC back, overlapping your papers so that no background remains.  Ensure that all straight edges are on the outside side.  Don’t have any sharp cut lines except on the edges, it should be all torn edges.  Also ensure that your paper all runs different ways, don’t line it all up in the one direction.
  3. Add another layer over the top of the first one.
  4. Tear thin strips of masking tape and lay on top of papers, burnish and pull off sharply (imagine you are waxing your legs lol)
  5. Using the sponge and distress ink pads, colour your paper.   You may like to spritz the distress inks with water, but if so, do it very lightly as the wet paper will lift off the glue.
  6. Stamp or emboss the background for added interest
  7. Add an image and finish ATC as desired.
